Understanding disaster risk is more than just understanding hazards. Building on extensive work informed by collaboration across a range of key sectors, the Understanding Disaster Risk Forums will highlight contemporary thinking and guidance on how we understand our relationship with hazards, vulnerability, risk and its reduction.
At the forum, decision makers from across sectors will benefit from a national perspective on climate and disaster risk, stories of lived experience from across Australia, examples of novel projects, and state-specific discussion and insights on key initiatives, challenges and opportunities.
