AIDR Appoints new Executive Director

We thank Amanda Leck for her outstanding contribution as the former Executive Director, and Katelyn Samson, AIDR Manager, Knowledge Development, for stepping into the Acting Executive Director position throughout the recruitment process.

Margaret joins AIDR from the Minderoo Foundation Fire and Flood Resilience Initiative, where she supported their vision to lift resilience in exposed and vulnerable communities across Australia.

Previously, Margaret established Leva Consulting, building upon her PhD research into community resilience and focused on working with communities and organisations to enhance community resilience to natural hazards.

Margaret's commitment to improving resilience outcomes for Australian communities reflects the values and legacy of AIDR, and the team welcome the experience Margaret brings with her into this new role. She will commence with AIDR in late September.
