EOI for 2022-23 Major Incidents Report writers

AIDR is seeking nominations and expressions of interest for a writer for this year’s Major Incidents Report.

AIDR produces an annual Major Incidents Report on behalf of the Australian Government. The Report provides an authoritative overview of major incidents regarded as nationally significant by the emergency management sector across the financial year. The report provides background information about each incident, the impacts, the response and recovery to the incident and, where identified, observations to assist the sector identify key themes for improvement in practice.

The writer will have experience and insight into the operational dynamics of the emergency management sector, work well in a collaborative project environment, excellent stakeholder relationships, and the skill to synthesise complex information and write to a specific brief.
