Registrations now open for the Australian Disaster Resilience Conference
AIDR is delighted to announce that registrations for this year’s Australian Disaster Resilience Conference are now open.
The conference will connect the disaster resilience community at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 28-29 August.
Delegates will be able to learn, share and discuss the initiatives that are enhancing disaster resilience in their communities while exploring the theme: Are we future ready?
Following a huge response to the Call for Abstracts, the program is shaping up to feature an array of thought provoking and inspiring presentations drawing upon the subthemes of connection, respect, empowerment and wisdom.
This year AIDR is pleased to be introducing early bird pricing. Plan to secure your conference pass early to make the most of this offer. Early bird pricing will be available until 28 June 2019.
At $550 + GST for a full two-day conference program featuring high calibre speakers, access to an extensive exhibition, day time catering and a social function, early bird tickets provide exceptional value for money.
The Australian Disaster Resilience Conference will run in partnership with AFAC19 powered by INTERSCHUTZ, providing opportunities for networking and knowledge exchange between delegates.
Become a sponsor
For the first time, AIDR is opening opportunities to sponsor the Australian Disaster Resilience Conference.
Sponsorship packages are largely centred on the tangible benefit of providing scholarships for people to attend the conference who would otherwise be unable to do so – supporting us to build disaster resilience from the grassroots. There is also an exclusive opportunity available to sponsor recycled fair trade conference satchels.
The sponsorship prospectus will soon be available on the conference website. If your organisation’s values align with disaster resilience and you would like to show your support as a sponsor, please contact events@aidr.org.au for an advanced copy of the prospectus and to discuss tailoring your contribution.
The Australian Institute for Disaster Resilience looks forward to welcoming you and sharing knowledge and learning within the disaster resilience community.
