Welcome Ella Wilkinson to the AIDR team

Ella Wilkinson has joined the AIDR team as the new Project Officer, working alongside Amanda Lamont and Katelyn Samson in the Australian Disaster Resilience Handbook collection team, and assisting in the updating and maintaining of the Australian Disaster Resilience Glossary.

Before starting at AIDR, Ella was studying a Master of Environments at the University of Melbourne, focusing on Climate Change, Sustainable Development and Disasters. Ella has also completed a Bachelor of Environments at University of Melbourne.

'After finishing my Bachelors, I was lucky enough to gain an internship at the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction in Geneva and was a Content Manger for PreventionWeb.net for six months.

'It was here that I knew the disaster and emergency services sector was where I wanted to be.

'In addition to my interest in natural hazards, I am also unfortunately, an avid Melbourne Demons supporter, but please don’t hold that against me.'
